What Fort Lauderdale Buyers Are Installing

The most common project types we handle across Fort Lauderdale break into three clear categories.

Luxury waterfall island countertop installation in South Florida

Condo Kitchen Countertops

From the established neighborhoods west of the highway to waterfront homes on the Intracoastal, kitchen countertop replacement is the highest-volume project in Fort Lauderdale. Entry-level and standard quartz in the inland neighborhoods. Quartzite, granite, and premium quartz in the Las Olas corridor and waterfront market. The range is wide and we work across all of it from the same in-house fabrication process.

Custom bathroom vanity countertop installation in South Florida

Bathroom Vanity Tops

Quartz for most applications. Calacatta-look quartz and Taj Mahal quartzite for master bathrooms in the higher end of the market. We handle single and double vanity configurations with undermount sink cutouts as part of every project.

Outdoor Kitchen Countertops

Fort Lauderdale’s waterfront and barrier island market generates consistent outdoor kitchen work. Porcelain and granite are the materials we install for outdoor applications. Salt air and UV exposure along the Intracoastal and barrier island require materials that are proven in coastal Florida conditions. Standard quartz is not appropriate for outdoor horizontal surfaces in this environment.

Materials We Fabricate and Install for Fort Lauderdale Projects

We fabricate and install the full range of countertop materials for Fort Lauderdale projects at our Hallandale Beach facility.

Authentic White Macaubas Quartzite slab with bright white background and flowing silver-gray linear veining, commonly used for luxury waterfall islands and contemporary kitchen countertops in South Florida.

Quartzite

The premium natural stone choice for Fort Lauderdale buyers who want the flowing, luxury aesthetic of marble with better durability in a working kitchen. Taj Mahal and White Macaubas are the varieties specified most frequently in the Las Olas and waterfront market.

Authentic Statuario marble slab featuring a pure white background with strong flowing gray veining and a refined luxury Italian marble appearance.

Marble

Calacatta, Statuario, and Carrara for kitchen and bathroom applications in the higher end of the Fort Lauderdale market. We give every marble client an honest picture of the maintenance requirements before fabrication begins, specifically the more frequent resealing schedule that South Florida’s humidity demands.

Porcelain

The leading outdoor kitchen choice in Fort Lauderdale’s waterfront and coastal market. Also a strong indoor option. UV-stable, non-porous, zero sealing required for the life of the installation.

Fort Lauderdale’s Housing Mix and What It Produces

Fort Lauderdale’s housing stock is more varied than any other city in our primary service area. Understanding the different sub-markets helps buyers understand what we typically work on in each part of the city.

Las Olas and the Intracoastal Waterfront. The Las Olas Boulevard corridor and the Intracoastal waterway neighborhoods represent the high end of Fort Lauderdale’s renovation market. Waterfront single-family homes and condo towers in this area have larger kitchens, more outdoor entertaining space, and buyers who are typically specifying at the premium tier. Quartzite kitchen islands, Calacatta marble master bath renovations, and outdoor kitchen countertop work are common project types here. Salt air from the Intracoastal affects material durability the same way oceanfront exposure does, and we factor that into material recommendations for every outdoor project in this area.
Victoria Park and Coral Ridge. These are among Fort Lauderdale’s most established and actively renovated residential neighborhoods. Single-family homes here range from mid-century originals being updated to larger homes in the higher end of the Broward County residential market. Kitchen countertop renovations are among the most consistent project types we handle in Fort Lauderdale. Quartz is the dominant material choice, with granite and quartzite requested more frequently in the larger homes and estate properties toward Coral Ridge Isles and the waterfront.

The Barrier Island and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. Fort Lauderdale Beach and the barrier island properties north toward Lauderdale-by-the-Sea bring the same coastal outdoor kitchen considerations as Sunny Isles Beach and Hollywood Beach to the south. Salt air, direct UV exposure, and the outdoor living orientation of barrier island properties make material selection for outdoor kitchen countertops a specific conversation. Porcelain and granite are the materials we install for outdoor applications here. For interior renovations in the condos and single-family homes along the beach, quartz is the most requested material for its non-porous, zero-maintenance performance in coastal humidity.
Established Neighborhoods West of Federal Highway. The neighborhoods west of Federal Highway, including areas around Coral Springs Road, Davie Boulevard, and the broader inland residential market, represent Fort Lauderdale’s highest-volume renovation work by project count. These are established single-family homes, many of them with original countertops that are 20 to 40 years old and due for replacement. Entry-level to mid-range quartz is the most common specification in this part of the market. The projects are straightforward, the buyers know what they want, and the work gets done efficiently when the fabricator is close enough to schedule a measurement and an installation within the same week.

Fort Lauderdale Neighborhoods We Serve

Fort Lauderdale’s neighborhoods range from waterfront isles to historic residential streets, and the countertop work differs in each.

View of Las Olas and the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale, Florida featuring luxury waterfront homes, yachts, palm-lined promenades, and the city's iconic coastal skyline.

Las Olas Isles

Las Olas Isles is a set of manufactured islands just off Las Olas Boulevard, lined with waterfront homes. Countertop projects here lean toward premium natural stone, large kitchens, and outdoor kitchen work that has to handle salt air.

Rio Vista

Rio Vista is a historic waterfront neighborhood along the New River with a quiet residential feel. Many homes here are being renovated or rebuilt, and kitchens often call for quartzite or premium quartz.

What Sets King of Quartz Apart for Fort Lauderdale Countertops

Most countertop companies in South Florida are showrooms. They sell slabs and subcontract fabrication to a third-party fabrication facility. You have no visibility into where your stone is cut, who handles it, or whether the dimensions were verified before the slab was processed.
King of Quartz owns the full process. Our fabrication facility is in Hallandale Beach, twenty minutes south of Fort Lauderdale on I-95.
The first is in-house fabrication. When you approve your order, your slab moves to our Hallandale Beach fabrication facility, not across the county to an unknown facility. We control the cut, the edge profile, and the finish from start to finish.
The second is local accountability. Our showroom is at 1804 John P Lyons Ln in Hallandale Beach, approximately twenty minutes from most Fort Lauderdale addresses. If something is not right, you are not calling a regional office in another state. You are calling the team that fabricated and installed your countertop.
The third is turnaround. Because fabrication happens in-house, we are not waiting on a third-party facility’s schedule. Most Fort Lauderdale projects are fabricated and installed within 5 to 7 business days from template date.
Outdoor kitchens in Fort Lauderdale’s waterfront market. Fort Lauderdale has more miles of navigable waterways than almost any city outside of Venice, and a residential culture built around outdoor living on or near the water. For fully exposed outdoor kitchens along the Intracoastal, the canals, and the barrier island, porcelain and granite are the materials we recommend and install. Both are UV-stable and perform well in salt-air conditions. Porcelain requires no sealing. Granite requires a 6 to 12-month outdoor resealing schedule. Both handle grill heat directly on the surface. Standard quartz is not recommended for outdoor horizontal surfaces here. UV-related resin degradation typically becomes visible within 12 to 18 months of direct sun exposure. For covered outdoor kitchens under a solid roof with no direct sun, we advise on a case-by-case basis.

A Large Market, Served From One Facility Twenty Minutes Away

Fort Lauderdale is a genuinely large city with a housing stock that spans decades of construction, a range of buyer profiles from first-time renovators to waterfront estate owners, and a renovation market that runs year-round rather than seasonally. It is not a single type of buyer and it is not a single type of project.
Our Hallandale Beach facility is approximately twenty minutes south of Fort Lauderdale on I-95. We have been serving Fort Lauderdale homeowners, condo owners, contractors, and designers from that location since 2005. Over those two decades, we have fabricated and installed countertops in every part of this city, in every price range, and in every material we carry.
What that experience produces is practical. We know which Fort Lauderdale neighborhoods have active outdoor kitchen renovation markets. We know which condo buildings on the Intracoastal have specific contractor access requirements. We know that a waterfront home in Coral Ridge has different renovation priorities than a single-family home in Coral Ridge Isles, and we advise on material and specification accordingly. Fort Lauderdale is not a market we cover from a distance. It is a market we know.

We Fabricate the Industry's Leading Brands

Cities We Serve for Stone Countertop Installation

Hallandale Beach is our home base and the city where our fabrication facility sits. The kitchen renovation market here spans compact condo kitchens in older mid-rise buildings through to larger single-family renovations west of Federal Highway. Our proximity gives us faster site assessments, tighter installation schedules, and building manager relationships built across the city’s condo and residential stock over 20 years.

Sunny Isles Beach kitchens are concentrated in oceanfront and Intracoastal towers, frequently part of large open-plan reconfigurations designed around waterfront views and entertaining. White quartz in premium patterns, Calacatta marble, and Taj Mahal quartzite are the materials most consistently specified in this market.

Aventura’s luxury condo market generates some of the highest-specification kitchen renovation work in our service area. Calacatta and Statuario-look quartz, Taj Mahal quartzite, and Calacatta marble appear consistently in larger units and penthouse configurations. Because we build both cabinetry and countertops in-house, Aventura buyers get one operation accountable for both components.

Fort Lauderdale ranges from the waterfront estate market along the Intracoastal and New River to established neighborhoods of Victoria Park, Sailboat Bend, and Coral Ridge, through to mid-range renovation projects further west. Estate kitchens are large and specification-intensive; in the established residential neighborhoods, remodeling typically means a full replacement for a kitchen not updated in 15 to 20 years.
