WHY FACTORY-DIRECT

What Factory-Direct Fabrication Actually Means

Most companies that sell countertops do not fabricate them. They take your order, send the specifications to a third-party fabrication facility, and coordinate the installation separately. You pay for every handoff in that chain, whether you know it or not. Coordination markup, transport, and the margin built into outsourced fabrication are all in your final number.

King of Quartz operates differently. We have fabricated countertops in-house at our Hallandale Beach facility since 2005. Our own equipment. Our own team. When you call us, you are talking to the fabricator, not a sales representative for a fabricator. When our installation team arrives at your home, they have seen your job before, because they are the people who cut it.

This is not a marketing position. It is how the operation is structured. Factory-direct means one company, one team, and one standard of accountability from measurement to installation.

Family-Owned Since 2005

The same family has been measuring, fabricating, and installing stone countertops throughout South Florida for more than 20 years.

In-House Fabrication

Every countertop is fabricated at our Hallandale Beach facility by our own team, not outsourced to third-party facilities

Factory-Direct Pricing

No showroom markup, no middlemen, and no unnecessary sales layers between you and the fabrication team.

The Fabrication Process, Step by Step

Every King of Quartz project follows the same process. Nothing moves to the next step until the current one is done correctly.

On-Site Templating

We come to your home or project site and measure your space on-site. Every dimension is taken directly from your actual installation location, not estimated from architectural drawings or approximated from standard cabinet sizes. On-site templating is the foundation of a properly fitted countertop. A measurement that is off by a fraction of an inch shows in the finished installation. We do not cut until the template is confirmed accurate. We confirm edge profile selection, discuss sink cutout placement and style, verify cooktop and faucet hole requirements, and take note of any wall irregularities or out-of-square conditions that need to be addressed in fabrication. All of this is done at the measurement visit, before anything is ordered or cut.

Slab Selection

Once you have approved the estimate, you select your slab at our Hallandale Beach showroom. For natural stone materials, we strongly recommend selecting from a full slab rather than a sample. The movement, depth, and veining variation in granite, quartzite, and marble are not accurately represented at small format. What you see on the slab is what we cut.For quartz, we carry sample books from every brand we stock. If you want to see a full sheet before committing to a color, we can facilitate that as well.

Fabrication and Installation

Your countertops are cut, shaped, and finished at our Hallandale Beach facility using our own equipment and our own team. We do not send your job to a third-party fabrication facility at any point in the process. Every piece is fabricated to the exact dimensions taken from your on-site template.Fabrication includes all edge profile work, sink cutout finishing, cooktop cutouts, and any faucet or accessory holes specified during the template visit. Nothing leaves our facility until it meets the standard required for installation. Our installation team arrives with your finished countertops, removes your existing surfaces, and completes the installation. Old countertop removal and haul-away are included at no additional charge. Most residential installations are complete in a single visit. We clean up before we leave.

Why Factory-Direct Fabrication Matters for Your Project

The factory-direct model produces three outcomes that outsourced fabrication cannot reliably deliver.
Quality control is direct. When a company outsources fabrication, quality control sits with a third party that has no relationship with the end client. At King of Quartz, the same team that fabricates your countertops installs them. If something is not right before installation day, we correct it at our facility before loading the truck. The installation team does not accept work from fabrication that they would not be comfortable installing.
Accountability is clear. If there is an issue after installation, there is one company responsible: us. There is no question about whether the problem originated in fabrication or installation, or which party in a multi-vendor chain is responsible. We fabricated it, we installed it, and we stand behind it with a one-year warranty on stone and installation.
Turnaround is faster. Coordinating between a sales company and an outsourced fabricator adds time to every job. Our in-house process runs on our own schedule. Five to 7 business days from templating to installation is a real turnaround, not a best-case estimate that depends on a third party hitting their window.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about countertop fabrication, installation, materials, and project timelines.
What is a countertop fabricator?

A countertop fabricator is a company that cuts and finishes raw stone slabs into countertops sized to the exact dimensions of a specific installation. Fabrication includes cutting the slab to size, shaping edge profiles, cutting openings for sinks and cooktops, and polishing all finished surfaces. King of Quartz is a factory-direct fabricator, meaning we perform all fabrication in-house at our Hallandale Beach facility rather than outsourcing the cutting to a third party.

A countertop retailer sells you the material and coordinates the fabrication and installation through third parties. A fabricator cuts and finishes the countertops in-house. King of Quartz is a fabricator. You are buying directly from the company that cuts your countertops, not from a middleman that sends the job out. This eliminates the markup added by outsourced fabrication and gives you direct access to the team responsible for the finished product.

Most residential countertop projects are complete within 5 to 7 business days from the time we template your space. That covers on-site measurement, in-house fabrication at our Hallandale Beach facility, and installation at your home. Old countertop removal is included on installation day at no additional charge.

We fabricate and install quartz, granite, quartzite, marble, porcelain, and sintered stone including Dekton and Neolith. For quartz, we carry all major brands including Caesarstone, Cambria, Silestone, MSI, Vadara, Viatera, Compac, Pental, and Hanstone. For natural stone, we carry a full selection of granite, premium quartzite including Taj Mahal and White Macaubas, and marble including Calacatta, Statuario, and Carrara.

Yes. We work regularly with general contractors, kitchen and bath dealers, interior designers, and builders throughout South Florida. If you are a trade professional managing a renovation or new construction project, call us directly to discuss how we work with the trade and what the fabrication and scheduling process looks like on your end.

Pricing depends on the material, square footage, edge profile, and cutouts required. Entry-level quartz runs $40 to $55 per square foot installed. Standard quartz patterns run $55 to $85 per square foot installed. Premium and designer materials run $85 to $150 per square foot installed. Natural quartzite runs $65 to $200 per square foot installed depending on the variety and quality grade.
